Kilchoman – 13 Year Old 20th Anniversary (70cl, 50%)

Kilchoman 13 Year Old is a limited edition single malt bottled by the Islay distillery to mark its 20th anniversary. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured for 13 years in a combination of bourbon barrels, bourbon octaves and calvados casks. It combines fresh, juicy fruit and rich sweetness with waves of maritime peat smoke. The nose is delicate and fragrant, with fresh pineapple, hibiscus and lemon sorbet. The palate is herbal, with dried apple granola, caramelised puffed wheat and buttered popcorn. The finish is long, light and graceful, with orchard fruit and a savoury freshness.
