This is a 15 year old Islay single malt from Kilchoman's 20th Anniversary Cask Series, released to mark the distillery's twentieth year. It was distilled in 2008 and 2009, matured in five ex-sherry casks and bottled at 52.7% ABV.
It is bottled without added colour or chill-filtration, and has a deep red-brown appearance. The casks were selected by hand by the distillery's founder, Anthony Willis, and his team.
Tasting notes describe a soft, peppery nose with rich sherry sweetness and a touch of sea salt. The palate brings dark fruit soaked in sherry and gentle smoke, and the finish is creamy and warming, with salted dark chocolate.
