Kilchoman – 8 Year 2012 Tequila Cask Finish Single Cask Release (70cl, 52.8%)

Kilchoman 8 Year Old is a single cask Islay single malt finished in a tequila cask. It is bottled at 52.8% in a 70cl bottle. Kilchoman was the first distillery built on Islay in over a century. It is run as a farmhouse distillery and makes its spirit from barley grown on its own land. The nose is lemon, citrus and grassy notes with butterscotch and light, fresh smoke. On the palate come cinnamon, vanilla pods and honey, with juicy fruit, agave and charred oak. The finish is long, with warming peat smoke and lingering fresh fruit.
