Kilchoman – Batch Strength (70cl, 57%)

Batch Strength is the third permanent Kilchoman expression, conceived by Anthony Wills, founder of the family farm distillery. It is bottled at 57% in a 70cl bottle. It blends whiskies aged in oloroso sherry casks, bourbon casks and toasted red wine casks. A few drops of Kilchoman spring water were added after maturation to bring it to strength. The nose has red fruits, fresh cherries, heather flowers and intense peaty smoke. The palate brings white grapes, salted caramel and tobacco leaves with rich smoke. The finish carries caramel, rich spices, vanilla and persistent peat smoke.
