Kilchoman – Cognac Cask Matured 2026 Edition (50%)

Kilchoman Cognac Cask Matured spent its whole maturation in ex-Cognac barriques, rather than a shorter finish, giving the French oak full room to work. The 2026 edition combines 33 first-fill barriques, distilled in 2019 and bottled at 50%. Roasted nuts, warming spice, honeycomb sweetness and rich stone fruit sit alongside the distillery's peat smoke and fresh citrus. The nose brings ripe pears and apples, peat smoke, honey, roasted nuts and baking spices. The palate is buttery, with baked fruit, honeycomb and salty sweetness. The finish is dry and smoky, with lingering sweetness and soft fruit.
