Kilchoman – Sanaig Cask Strength (70cl, 57.8%)

Sanaig Cask Strength is a Kilchoman single malt from Islay, bottled at its natural strength of 57.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Sanaig is the distillery's sherry-influenced core expression, and this is the first time it has been released at cask strength, as a limited edition. The whisky is matured predominantly in Oloroso sherry casks, which bring rich dark fruit alongside maritime peat smoke. The nose offers dark fruits, citrus and waves of peat smoke. The palate is bold with sherry sweetness, oily peat, blackberry, nutmeg and spice, and the finish is long and warming with liquorice, oak and lingering smoke.
