Kilchoman Sanaig is a permanent release from the Islay farm distillery, at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of 50% bourbon casks and 50% sherry casks.
Sanaig is also the name of a rocky inlet not far from the distillery, and the whisky is meant as a tribute to the Isle of Islay.
The nose is rich, with fruit compote and notes of caramel and vanilla. The palate is peaty, with toffee and citrus fruit. The finish balances smoky and fruity flavours with rich undertones.
