Kilchoman Single Cask 'Sado - The Harmony' 8 Years Old (70cl, 58%)

This is an 8 year old single cask Islay single malt from Kilchoman, bottled at a natural cask strength of 58% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and comes from 257 bottles. It matured for over eight years in a fresh bourbon cask and was selected for MIZUNARA in Hong Kong. It is the final bottling in the Sado series, which draws on the harmony and mutual respect between host and guest in a Japanese tea ceremony. The label is by artist Kenro Shinchi of Koshikishima Island, Kagoshima. The nose is floral and sweet, with lemon, vanilla and soft peat smoke. The palate balances lemon and citrus with butterscotch and a hint of salt. The finish is long and clean, with citrus and maritime peat smoke.
