Kilchoman Maury Cask is a limited Islay single malt matured throughout in ex-Maury casks from southern France, which previously held Grenache Noir fortified wine. It is not a finish. The whisky is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration and without added colour.
The nose offers figs, raisins and dates with salted caramel and orange peel. On the palate there is dark chocolate, pipe tobacco and a syrupy sweetness, with the peat smoke soft and earthy. The finish is long and dry, with cocoa, spice and lingering smoke.
