This is a small batch Kilchoman single malt, bottled at 49.7% in a 70cl bottle. It is one of two releases with French accents in the 2022 Islay Selection from LMDW.
The malt is a blend of 70% ex-bourbon, 5% Oloroso sherry and 25% Calvados barrels, the last being an unusual choice for the distillery.
It is described as a marriage of citrus and peat smoke, the signature of Kilchoman, with cooked apples, vanilla and cinnamon coming from the ex-Calvados casks.
