Kilkerran 8 Year Old Sherry Cask Strength Batch 9 is the ninth release in the Cask Strength series from Glengyle. It is a single malt matured entirely in sherry casks, bottled in January 2023 at 57.5%.
The sherry casks add spicy and fruity notes to the coastal, smoky character of Kilkerran. Peat smoke on the nose sits alongside toasted marshmallow, smoked ham, dark chocolate and clove. The palate shows sea salt, fishing nets, candied apple and toffee, and sweet peat carries through the finish.
