Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 14

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 14 is a Campbeltown single malt from Glengyle Distillery, released at natural cask strength. It is a smokier counterpart to the lightly peated Kilkerran house style, made with malt peated to around 45PPM. This batch was matured in a combination of 90% bourbon casks and 10% sherry casks. The bourbon oak keeps the spirit and the peat in front, while the sherry adds richness and depth. It is typically described as sweet malt, vanilla and orchard fruit with earthy peat smoke, a coastal note and warming spice.
