Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 14 (58.3%)

Kilkerran Heavily Peated is a single malt from Campbeltown, made at Glengyle Distillery, which reopened in 2004 after almost a century closed. This is a heavily peated whisky with a pronounced smoky character, matured partly in old sherry casks. It is bottled at a cask strength of 58.3% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring. The nose brings intense peat smoke, sea salt, citrus and a little sherry. On the palate there is strong smoke, spice, dark fruit, oak and a hint of sweetness, and the finish is long, smoky and warming with a salty note.
