Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch No.8 is a single malt from the Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, bottled at 58.4% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is very heavily peated.
It was matured in 90% ex-bourbon and 10% ex-sherry casks, and bottled with no colouring.
On the nose it is malty and mineral, with peat smoke at the front. The palate brings smoky peat, freshly baked apple pie, campfire embers and sweet salted caramel, followed by a long, sweet and creamy finish.
