Kinahan's Single Malt Irish Whiskey Hybrid Cask Method (46%)

A single malt Irish whiskey from Kinahan's, bottled at 46%, non-chill filtered and rich in natural colour. It is made with the Hybrid Cask method. Instead of a barrel built from one type of wood, a Hybrid Cask is constructed from staves of several different wood species, each adding its own flavour. The nose offers honeycomb, ripe orchard fruit, vanilla pod, toasted oak, citrus zest and hints of baking spice. The palate is silky and layered, with caramel, apricot, malt biscuits, coconut, charred wood, nutmeg and gentle pepper. The finish is long and warm, with lingering vanilla sweetness, oak spice, dried fruit and subtle herbal notes.
