Kinglake O'Grady's Stand is an Australian single malt from Kinglake Distillery in Victoria, in a 50cl bottle.
It is made from a four-malt mash bill that includes chocolate-roasted malt and heavily peated malt, giving a rich, oily spirit. The whisky is matured in small-format Kentucky ex-bourbon barrels that are re-coopered in Australia.
The nose is clean and aromatic, with malted barley, dark chocolate, delicate floral notes and light fruit sweetness. The palate is bold and oily, with orchard fruit, freshly cut grass and dark chocolate over subtle peat. The finish is long and chewy, with malt, dark chocolate and gentle peat smoke.
