Knappogue Castle 2000/2022 is a 22-year-old Irish single malt from the Ex Libris series, named Winds of May. It was distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2022 at 58% in a 70cl bottle, from a run of 626 bottles.
The whisky matured in Ruby Port casks. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
Ripe berries and a hint of port come on the nose, with a subtle spice. The palate is full and rich, with red fruit, velvety spices and a pleasant sweetness. The finish is long, shaped by red fruits and a touch of oak.
