Knob Creek 10 Year Rye is a Kentucky straight rye from the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, matured for ten years in deeply charred new American oak. It became a permanent part of the Knob Creek small batch range in 2024. The mash bill is high corn, with just over 51% rye, and the whiskey is bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof).
It pours rich red amber. The nose has rye spice, vanilla, cola, charred oak and dark fruit. The palate is full bodied, with cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel, leather, cherry and creamy vanilla, and the finish is long, with rye spice, oak and a touch of mocha.
