Knob Creek Rye is a seven-year-old American rye whiskey from the Jim Beam distillery in Clermont, Kentucky. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle.
The mash has a high proportion of rye, which gives the whiskey its spicy character, and it matures for several years in heavily charred American oak.
The nose is spicy, with oak, vanilla and caramel. Pepper and cinnamon lead the palate, softened by honey and toasted wood. The finish is long and warm, with cloves and roasted grain.
