Knob Creek 9 Year Old Single Barrel is a Kentucky bourbon distilled at the Jim Beam distillery. The Single Barrel Reserve is selected barrel by barrel and bottled at 120 proof (60%) after nine years' maturation. The brand belongs to the Small Batch Bourbon Collection, introduced in 1992 around full-flavoured, aged bourbons. The colour is deep, dark amber. Vanilla, caramel, toasted oak and brown sugar come through on the nose, with a hint of smokiness. The palate is bold and creamy, led by caramel and toasted oak, then vanilla and subtle rye spice. The finish is warming and lasts well over 30 seconds, with caramel, oak, leather and rye spice.
