Koval – Rye Single Barrel Whiskey (75cl, 40%)

Koval Rye is a single barrel rye whiskey from Chicago, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It is distilled from 100% organic rye grain from the Midwest and aged in charred new American oak, in 30 gallon barrels. It is non-chill-filtered and kosher-certified. Koval was founded in 2008 by Robert and Sonat Birnecker. The nose is cracked black pepper, baked apple, vanilla and dry wood shavings. On the palate there is clove, green tea, caramel and toasted oak. The finish is crisp and dry, with spice, cinnamon and citrus peel.
