Kurayoshi Pure Malt Whisky Sherry Cask

Kurayoshi Pure Malt Whisky Sherry Cask is a Japanese bottling from the Kurayoshi brand, which the Matsui Distillery created in April 2016. The malt whisky itself comes from Scotland. It is reduced with groundwater and matured for over three years in casks at Kurayoshi. Matsui was founded in 1910 and stands in Tottori, on the Sea of Japan. Fresh groundwater from the Daisen mountains is used in its whisky. Berry fruit and a hint of lemon cake lead the nose, with elegant sherry tones. The palate is light and velvety, with malt, sherry and lemon cake. The finish is long, with sherry sweetness lingering.
