Kurayoshi Pure Malt (70cl)

Kurayoshi Pure Malt is a Japanese blended malt whisky from the Matsui Distillery in Tottori prefecture, on the south-western part of Honshu. The distillery was founded in 1910. The malted barley comes from Scotland, and the style follows Scottish whisky-making tradition. The whisky was matured for more than three years in ex-bourbon casks. The nose has sweet oak and honey with earthy peat. The palate is gently spiced with toasted nuts, and the light finish is said to recall the soft Tottori spring water used in making it.
