This is The Kurayoshi Malt Whisky, aged for 8 years in a sherry cask, from the Matsui distillery. Matsui is in Tottori, a coastal prefecture on southern Honshu best known for its sand dunes, and the same company also makes traditional Japanese sake and shochu. The eight-year age statement has drawn attention in Japan, where makers of ji-whisky generally age their whisky for less time.
