Kurayoshi Pure Malt Whisky 18 Year Old is a Japanese malt whisky in a 70cl bottle. It comes from the Matsui Distillery in Tottori Prefecture, in the south-west of Honshu island, which was founded in 1910. Tottori is known for its soft, mineral water.
The 18 year old is the distillery's top bottling, a complex and well-balanced spirit.
The nose offers puffed grain, bread crust, dried grass and citrus. On the palate come fine spices and a mix of salty, sweet and citrus notes, with smoke present but not intrusive.
