Kvint XO 25 Year is a Moldovan brandy aged for a minimum of 25 years in Limousin oak, made at the KVINT distillery in Tiraspol, founded in 1897.
The eaux-de-vie are double-distilled in copper alambic stills and aged in barrels made from French Limousin oak. The blend draws on Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Aligoté, Bianca, Riesling, Riton, Suruchensky White and Pervenets of Magarach grapes.
The nose offers honey, toffee, dried apricot and dates, with tobacco leaf, a little smoke and ginger. The palate is velvety, with honeyed stone fruit, baking spice, dried fig and light oak tannin. The finish is long and warming, with toffee, tobacco and vanilla.
