This is a vintage Bas Armagnac from Laberdolive, distilled from the 1946 harvest at Domaine de Jaurrey in Gascony. The grape is Folle Blanche, distilled in the traditional alembic armagnacais and then laid down in Gascony oak.
It stayed in oak for 77 years before being bottled in January 2023, which makes it one of the oldest Laberdolive expressions currently released. The house makes single-vineyard, vintage-dated Armagnac at its Gascony estate.
