Laberdolive 1991 Bas-Armagnac Domaine de Jaurrey (70cl)

This is a 1991 vintage Bas-Armagnac from the Laberdolive family's Domaine de Jaurrey at Labastide d'Armagnac, in the Douze Valley of Gascony. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The family has farmed the estate since 1893, across seven generations. The brandy is distilled in an alambic armagnacais and aged for over 30 years in casks made from wood grown on the property. The vines grow in the golden sandy soils known as sables fauves, and the estate works with Baco, Colombard, Ugni Blanc and Folle Blanche. The house style is fine, elegant and racy, with notes of peach, dried fig, nectarine, almond, dried flowers and leather.
