This is a 10 year old Islay single malt from Lagavulin, a distillery established in 1816. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle and was first released for travel retail.
It carries the peaty, smoky character Lagavulin is known for.
The nose combines wood fire and peat with fruit and sea air. The palate is fairly soft, with orange and vanilla alongside smoke, bacon and a little honey. The finish is salty and smoky, with mint.
