Lagavulin 11 Year Old Sweet Peat is an Islay single malt aged in bourbon casks, in a 750ml bottle.
It shows a softer, sweeter side of Lagavulin's peat smoke, with the depth of Islay peat set alongside rounded sweetness. The aim is a balanced, approachable whisky that still keeps the house character.
The nose offers soft peat smoke, vanilla, honey and coastal brine. On the palate come sweet malt, caramel, gentle smoke, toasted oak and subtle spice. The finish is long, warm and lightly sweet, with peat lingering.
