Lagavulin Natural Cask Strength is a 12 year old Islay single malt from the 2024 Special Release, in a 75cl bottle at 114.8 proof, or 57.4% ABV.
It comes from Islay's most famous distillery and is smoky and peaty, with a long finish.
The nose is usually described as smoke with toffee, fruit and nuts, alongside dried pear, green apple, lemon peel and beach bonfire embers. On the palate come vanilla, fudge, green apple and a punchy pepper over peat smoke. The finish is long and heavy with peat, with smoke and spice.
