Lagavulin Offerman Edition Charred Oak Cask is an 11 year old single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is a collaboration between Lagavulin and Nick Offerman.
The whisky was aged in heavily charred ex-bourbon and ex-red wine casks, and is intended to sit well alongside a medium-rare steak.
The nose is peaty, with chocolate, treacle, red berries and a little creaminess. The palate is pungent, peaty, woody and spicy, with cocoa and sweet berries. The finish is warm, lingering and spicy.
