Lagavulin – 11 Years Offerman Edition #4 Caribbean Rum Cask Finish

This is an Islay single malt from Lagavulin, made in collaboration with the actor Nick Offerman. The edition draws on his love of sea adventures, and he took part in the blending. The whisky was matured for 11 years, then spent a further 8 months in Caribbean rum casks. The finish adds tropical fruit and caramel sweetness to Lagavulin's smoky, peaty character. The nose is peat smoke with tropical fruit, caramel and sweet spice, sweet and salty together. The palate wraps rum-cask fruit in a smoky frame. The finish is long, sweet and smoky, with a tropical note that lingers.
