This is the 2024 Special Release of Lagavulin 12 Year Old, a cask-strength single malt from Islay, bottled at 58.3% in a 70cl bottle.
The 12-year-old cask-strength releases are an annual Lagavulin edition, and this one is made from peated malt.
On the nose it is smoky, with sea spray, lemon peel and warm embers. The palate brings charred citrus, brine, pepper and sweet malt, and the finish is long, smoky and salty, with ash, citrus and lingering peat.
