Lagavulin 12 Year Old Special Release 2021 is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 56.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It draws on virgin oak and some of the distillery's smokiest reserves.
The palate opens smooth and oily with sweet richness, then lemony citrus and sea salt bring freshness before a burst of spice. Mid palate turns drier as the smoke builds.
The finish is long and smoky-spicy, wreathed in peat.
