Lagavulin 12 Year Old The Lions Fire is an Islay malt whisky from Diageo's annual Special Release series, in its 2021 edition. It was matured in refill casks and bottled at natural cask strength, 56.5% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The 2021 releases were overseen by master blender Dr Craig Wilson and take their theme from the mythical beings said in Celtic tales to guard Scotland's distilleries. Each label carries an illustration by digital artist Ken Taylor, and a QR code on the pack opens a mixed reality tasting experience.
