Lagavulin 12 Years Special Release 2022 is a 12-year-old single malt, bottled at cask strength at 57.3% ABV.
The whisky was matured in virgin oak barrels, which bring wood and peat smoke to the front of its character. Notes of spice and sweet citrus support them.
It is a very limited release in the 2022 Special Release series from Lagavulin, the Islay distillery.
