A limited edition Islay single malt from Lagavulin, aged for 16 years and bottled at a cask strength of 56.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was produced for attendees of Feis Ile 2017.
The whisky is double matured, with a Moscatel cask adding to the distillery's peated character.
The nose brings salt and coastal notes, a balanced sweetness from the Moscatel and obvious peat smoke. On the palate there is sweet smoky wood, figs, liquorice, white chocolate, demerara sugar and tar, with a hint of citrus. The finish balances sweetness and smoke.
