A 16-year-old Islay single malt from Lagavulin, bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It was aged in oak casks for at least sixteen years and is known for a heavy peat smoke, with a dryness and a smoky-sweet character that carries seaweed flavours.
The colour is deep amber gold. The nose is intense peat smoke with iodine, seaweed and a rich, deep sweetness. The palate has dried fruit sweetness, clouds of smoke and strong barley-malt flavours, with peppery smoke at the back of the mouth. The finish is long, warming and peppery, with an appetising sweetness.
