Lagavulin 16 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky from the Lagavulin distillery, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
It has the heavy peat smoke typical of southern Islay, together with richness and a dryness that give it extra interest. It has become a benchmark Islay dram.
Salty blue cheeses with an intense flavour pair well with its peaty, sweet and salty character.
