Lagavulin 16 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky, in a 750ml bottle at 43% ABV. It is regarded as one of the great Islay classics.
Sherry oak adds a sweetness that offsets the dry, assertive character of the spirit, and the result is full-bodied and complex.
In the glass it is smoky and peaty, with a salty sea tang.
