Lagavulin 16 Year Old is an Islay single malt, a distillery bottling at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has intense peat smoke, earthy notes, a fresh sea breeze and a little iodine, rounded out by complex sherry aromas and vanilla. The palate brings strong peat smoke, some iodine, sweet malt and toasted oak, with light heather and hay. The finish is very long, with dried fruit, campfire smoke and malt.
