Lagavulin – 8 Year Old Bicentenary Edition

This is an 8 year old Lagavulin from Islay, a special release in 2016 to mark the 200th anniversary of the distillery. Lagavulin was built in the early 19th century and later came into the hands of the White Horse blenders and Sir Peter Mackie. The 16 year old became a favourite after joining United Distillers' Classic Malts in 1988, when the smoky style proved more popular than the company had expected. This anniversary bottling was so well received that it joined the core range in late 2017.
