Lagavulin 8 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch, light gold in colour, with a pronounced peat character. This expression was released to celebrate Lagavulin's 200th anniversary.
On the nose it shows citrus, seaweed and smoke, with hints of vanilla and spice. The palate brings peat smoke, ripe fruit and creamy caramel, along with a touch of brine and oak. The finish is long and warming, with lingering smoke and a subtle sweetness.
