Lagavulin – Distillers Edition (43%)

Lagavulin Distillers Edition is an Islay single malt from the distillery on the coast near Port Ellen, bottled at 43% ABV. The whisky first matures in American oak casks, then spends a second period in casks previously holding Pedro Ximénez sherry. The finish adds a dark fruit sweetness to the heavily peated malted barley spirit and its maritime character, set against the smoke of Islay peat. It comes in a black box with a green wave pattern, and the pale green label carries a gold emblem.
