Lagavulin – Distillers Edition (43%)

Lagavulin Distillers Edition is an Islay single malt bottled at 43% ABV. It starts from Lagavulin 16 Years Old and is given a second maturation in American oak casks that previously held Pedro Ximénez sherry, which adds waves of sweet fruit to the whisky. The nose combines generous peat with dried fruit, raisins and a little vanilla sweetness. On the palate it is coastal, with salted toffee and more sherry character, and the finish carries lingering oak spice with persistent peat.
