This is the Distillers Edition from Lagavulin, an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. The whisky was first matured in bourbon casks and then finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
The nose is typically described as peat and iodine, with dried fruit and sweet raisins. On the palate come vanilla, rum and grapes, with rich smoke and hazelnut. The finish is long, with cocoa and plenty of smoke and peat.
