Lagavulin Fireside Tales is a 12 year old Islay single malt from the 2024 Special Release, in a 75cl bottle. It was matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks and refill casks.
The idea behind it is oak shaping Lagavulin's bold character. The smoke is held back to a hush, and the powerful peat is tempered into sweetness.
It is described as having a lush, glazed aroma, followed by thick toffee, vanilla and coconut, with aromatic spice unfurling behind them.
