It is a triple matured single malt, with the peat smoke Lagavulin is known for running alongside maritime influences and rich malt.
The nose is intense peat smoke with sea air, smoked malt and charcoal, and vanilla, caramel and dried fruit behind. The palate is full and powerful, with smoke, earthy peat, salty touches, spice and a gentle sweetness. The finish is long and warming, with lasting peat smoke, maritime notes, spice and a light sweetness.
