Lambay Malt Irish Whiskey Finished in Cognac Casks (70cl, 43%)

Lambay Malt is an Irish blended malt whiskey, the fourth addition to the Lambay range. It combines at least three Irish single malt distillates, both double and triple distilled, and is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Every malt in the blend was matured first in bourbon barrels, then partly finished in French oak cognac casks. Some Lambay Single Malt casks that were exposed to sea air and maritime winds on Lambay are included. Camus, a family-owned cognac producer, created it with the Baring Family's Revelstoke Trust. Malt, florals, ripe banana and fig lead the nose. Coconut, dried berries, nutmeg and cardamom follow, ending in a long, malty finish.
